With senior year coming to a close, there are many things going on at one time. Everything from finals week, to moving for college and a lot of other things. With all this busyness, it can be difficult to keep up with everything and stay sane with all the stress. We are going to talk about everything you need to write down on your calendar and when it all is.
The one thing I think most seniors are waiting for is the final day of school. Four years of high school waiting to graduate, seems like a long time but man does it fly by. Now we all move onto greater things, but before we can move on, we still have to get through till our final day which is the 13th of May. While this isn’t graduation, it is a while before graduation, probably to get affairs in order and figure other things like that out.
Now before the last day, seniors have finals week. The most dreaded week for most. It is the entire week before the last day of school. This is the week where seniors do tests or major projects to wrap up their senior year. These finals cover the entire term’s material with everything major that you have learned. There is a lot of stress on high school seniors this week as all these tests you need to pass as it impacts 1/3 of your final grade.
Now it’s time for prom. A huge event that most seniors are really gearing up for at this moment getting dresses, suits, ties and shoes. This can also be kind of a stressful event if you take what you wear seriously. Much preparation goes into prom with matching outfits, making sure everything fits and looks right.
For 2 days before graduation, you have to return to the school for graduation practice. This is something simple where you practice lineup for graduation and walking across the stage. Nothing crazy, just takes up a couple days of the week for a few hours.
I interviewed a student who preferred to stay anonymous what they were doing to stay busy during this busy time. Writing things down in a planner was the biggest key. Using a planner, physical calendar or a digital one to keep things straight. With everything going in it can be a lot, so they recommended to stay calm, relax a bit and focus on what needs to get accomplished these next two months.
This month is full of things to keep seniors busy with graduation, prom, and a plethora of other things. Seniors will have no problem staying busy in this time of year. With all this stuff going on you need to prepare because it is such a short period of time with everything all at once.
