As the school year wraps up at C. Milton Wright High School, students are shifting their focus from assignments and exams to summer plans. For many, that means traveling, whether it’s a family vacation, a road trip, or visiting relatives out of state. Summer break is a chance to relax, recharge, and experience something different from the school routine.
Students often look forward to summer travel all year. It gives them motivation during stressful weeks of tests and projects. While some families plan big trips in advance, others stick to smaller or more local getaways. Either way, students say the break from school is what matters most.
Travel also gives students the chance to explore new places and learn outside the classroom. Even short trips can offer new experiences, from trying different foods to seeing new environments.
Junior Emma Lesniewski at C Milton Wright shared her summer plans and why she looks forward to them each year. “I am going to Ocean City since I have a place down there with my family,” Emma said. “It’s something I always look forward to because it’s a break from a stressful school year”.
She explained that traveling helps her relax and spend time with family. “I like spending time with family I don’t get to see often, and it is a family tradition to go down to the beach every year,”.
As the school year ends, students at C. Milton Wright are counting down to summer. While plans may vary, the excitement is the same. Summer travel gives students a chance to step away from school and return with fresh energy for the year ahead.
