Spring is here, and that means one thing at C. Milton Wright. It’s time for the Mustangs to take over the fields, courts, and tracks. Both the boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams are coming in with strong returning players and motivated underclassman, focusing on teamwork and improving their skills to compete in tough country matchups. I asked Josie Mouring about what she felt during the upcoming season with girls’ lacrosse, and she stated, “I think girls’ lacrosse has a real shot to surprise people – we have been working on our wall ball, and this could be an intense year with the Mustangs”. The baseball and softball teams are also preparing for competitive seasons, working on solid pitching, strong defense, and consistent hitting to help them succeed.
The track team brings a mix of speed and endurance across many different events, giving the Mustangs opportunities to score at every meet. Meanwhile, the tennis team is focused on improving technique and strategy in both singles and doubles play. Overall, C. Milton Wright athletes are ready to work hard and represent their school with pride this spring.
