This month, we are excited to showcase Ms. Salvi, a loving Math teacher at C. Milton Wright High School. An amazing member of the CMW staff for three years, Ms. Salvi currently teaches Algebra 2 and Pre-College Math.
Becoming a teacher, Ms. Salvi wanted to instill her love for math into her students. She loves it when students have that “click” moment and understand the subject even if they thought it was hard at the beginning. She realized her true passion was in teaching! Therefore, her journey into education began.
Her favorite class to teach is all of them. Ms. Salvi loves dividing polynomial functions because it is like a puzzle, and she feels very lucky that she gets to teach these subjects to both her Algebra 2 class and Pre-College Math class!
Ms. Salvi stays involved outside the classroom. She is the host of the Key Club!
Outside of school, Ms. Salvi’s favorite things to do are reading, running, and spending time with her family!
A quote that Ms. Salvi uses all the time that helps students succeed and grow in her class is “Practice makes better.” This quote applies to everything in her life like her son learning to read, her on-going attempt to do a chin-up, and of course, MATH!
Ms. Salvi is a terrific example of what it means to be both a dedicated teacher and a person who inspires others to grow. We’re lucky to have her at C. Milton Wright! Go Mustangs!
