Have you ever seen girls play football? Well, we have here at C. Milton Wright High School at our annual Powder Puff game. Organized by SGA, Junior girls, and Senior girls play each other in a flag football game. The girls are coached by our football players. I am a Junior, and our head coach is Jack Sabol, and his assistants are Cole Hansel, Eric Penney, and Leroy Mack.
I asked Jack a few questions to get a feel for how the juniors are doing. The first question I asked was “How are you feeling about the game?” Jack replied with, “I’m feeling very confident and am looking forward to the game.” Another thought I had was “What do practices look like?” Jack said, “Practice consists of learning how to catch the ball and high competitiveness.” My last wonder was what the Junior team was like, I asked Jack “Describe the team” Jack said, “our team is full of straight athletes with a lot of personality which makes it really fun.”
The game took place on November 12th, at 5 pm. Unfortunately, the Juniors fell short and the seniors won 20-14. It was extremely competitive and a close game until the very end. Coach Jack said “I am super proud of you guys and hope you all come out next year” after the game.
Calling all future Juniors and Seniors to participate in next year’s game. If you would like to participate, go to Mrs. T’s room and sign up in late October. It is so much fun and a wonderful way to be involved in school activities. I hope to see you there!
