I recently went with my buddy John Rooker to Sizzling Bombay. It is an Indian restaurant near the festival. Before we went, I was excited because, even though I had been there once, many years ago, I had forgotten it was a buffet, and I was excited when I remembered that because it had been a while since I had been to a buffet.
When we got there, it was packed, and they were playing piano music. I immediately headed towards the palak paneer, which is this spinach dip with cheese in it. It is by far my favorite thing there, and I got a little bit of curry and soup, but I filled up almost entirely on palak paneer. It was by far my favorite.
My friend John is a vegetarian and has a smaller range of food options. I interviewed him to see how he liked the food and what he was able to eat.
The first question I asked John was if he was a fan of Indian food to which he responded, “nah there’s not too many options around here, so I don’t eat it that often.” I then asked him “was it hard being a vegetarian there?” He said, “No, they had good options.” I was surprised by that. I then asked him if he would go to other Indian restaurants. He said, “yeah but I have no idea where else we would go.”
Overall, I would thoroughly recommend Sizzling Bombay, the food was great and was elevated by the all you can eat buffet, so you didn’t have to wait for food.
