Kalise Huber, Op./Ed Editor
Kalise Huber is a lighthearted writer that loves being around friends and her boyfriend where she can be herself, stress free. At 16, she will be one of the head girls in charge of the “Opinion” or “Student Life” sections in the school newspaper, and a supervisor for what gets approved in the Pony Express. Kalise has two jobs, one as a lifeguard at the Arena Club, and the other in the Spirit Halloween store that is in the Harford Mall. Her birthday falls in October, where her love for Halloween stems. When Kalise isn’t working, she loves being with her two dogs (Bell and Bubbles) and playing video games in her downtime. She is on a career path to be a writer of novels and articles, or a broadcaster for the news. By taking journalism, she gets to exercise her independent editing skills, and interviewing. Her experience in past classes working towards the Pony Express taught her how fun video editing and voice overs are, so she is excited to continue with that this year in the school paper. Writing wise, Kalise is passionate about the school budget and how it affects the students, and would most likely write a lively, funny story with an important morale if she was given the opportunity to free write. The journalism team is excited and lucky to see Kalise’s editing and interviewing passions shine as one of the leaders on the Pony Express this year!
