The Frozen Musical Is coming to C Milton Wright later this year, and I set out to get behind the scenes of how Frozen is coming to be. I thought it would be a good idea to interview some of the people who will be a vital part of this musical.
 

Brett Lorence agreed to be interviewed about the production of the musical since he has been one of the main techs. I asked him if the production of Frozen was more complicated than prior productions, and he said “yes, because we only had one play to focus on.”  I then asked him when Frozen was scheduled to take place, and he told me on April 18th. 

I felt like I needed to know more about what type of musical Frozen would be so I reached out and got an interview with Teagan Trainor, who is another tech. I asked her if CMW’s rendition is based on the musical on Broadway and she said “yes, it is”. I also needed to be reminded of how similar the Broadway musical was to the  movie, so I asked her if the musical is a direct adaptation of the movie and she said “yes, it is a direct adaptation”. 

This interview made me more excited about the musical because of how much energy and focus is getting put into this musical and not split between two projects. I’m hyped to see how it turns out.
