Homecoming, a time for dancing, hanging out with friends and asking that one girl you like to go to the dance with you. For some though, it is about the football game. For those, it is about beating a team and celebrating the win by going to the homecoming dance. For our Homecoming game, we played Harford Tech.
The game itself went very well, with a dominating 45-0 win over the Harford Tech Cobras. This game was packed, and it was very loud. Our student section was going crazy and had come up with some very creative chants. Our defense stifled the Harford Tech offense, and the Mustang offense was able to perform under the pressure of the situation.
In the first half, our starters performed to the best of their ability. Not allowing a single point and scoring with free will. Then our backups got their chance to prove something, and even they were able to put a stop to the lowly Harford Tech offense. Our team took this game personally, due to last year’s heartbreaking defeat, losing by only two points. We needed this win not only to keep our playoff run in full force, but to get revenge for last year and to start off homecoming week with something to celebrate.
