Alivia Pettiford is a seventeen-year-old senior at C. Milton Wright High School. She has been in journalism for two years, and she is the Sports Editor this year. She joined journalism because of her love for writing and wanting to be more involved in the school environment. Alivia is a part of the Academic team, varsity track and field, the president of the French Club, a manager for the C. Milton Wright boys’ volleyball team, and a drum major. She cares a lot about the environment and music. Outside of school she figure skates, she loves to read, and she goes to concerts. In the future she would like to be a lawyer or have a role in the public health field. She looks up to her favorite author Ocean Vuong. Her goal this year in journalism is to impact others and to have an impressive writing portfolio now and later in the future!
