The Netflix documentary The Crash tells the story of a car crash in Ohio that led to the deaths of two young men. At first the crash just seemed to be like a terrible accident, but investigators believed it was intentional. The documentary mainly focused on months and days before leading up to the crash. One thing that stood up to me was how the documentary showed different viewpoint from the closet friends and family.
The film also showed how social media, relationships and personal choices that Mackenzie Shirilla has had had had serious consequences that came with it. Mackenzie Shirilla has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years, she received two concurrent sentence of 15 years to life.
Overall, The Crash was really interesting and emotional it made me think about how people don’t take many things as seriously as they should it also showed me how important it is making responsible decisions and how one thing can affect many lives just in a second. I would definitely recommend this documentary to people who are interested in true crime stories.
