Continuing one of Netflix’s most popular and highly ranked shows, season 4 of Bridgerton has just recently released with more drama and secrets than ever. Bridgerton is a romantic drama that is set in the early 1800’s and follows the life of eight Bridgerton siblings. Bridgerton was first released in 2020 and is now considered in Netflix’s top 5 most viewed shows. 

This season specifically focuses on the love story of Benedict Bridgerton, who unlike his siblings, struggles to fit into the rules of society and his family’s name. This is until he meets a masked woman at one of his family’s masquerade balls, who was named “Lady in Silver.” Before her identity could be revealed, she flees the ball. While all of Benedict’s attention is centered on finding out the identity of the “Lady in Silver,” he stumbles upon a servant named Sophie Benedict who just so happened to be the mystery woman at the ball. Instead of revealing her identity to him, she takes the time to know Benedict before it is revealed that she is simply just a servant who works for him. 

Many fans are considering this season to be one of their favorites, especially because some of them consider it to be similar to a “Cinderella Story.” Both story lines face similar struggles, including being ranked in a lower class in society. To gather more opinions on this season, I interviewed a watcher of the show who has seen all 4 seasons. When asked about her favorite season, she stated that “Season 2 is my favorite, but number 4 is a close second.” When asked if she would recommend Bridgerton to others, she replied, “Definitely. I think this is a great show to binge watch and it’s hard to get bored quick.” Finally, I asked if she thinks that this season’s storyline is like Cinderella’s, she stated that “I think they are very similar considering the have they same themes, even a evil stepsister plot, which was enjoyable to watch.” 

If you enjoyed this season, you will be excited to hear that season 5 will be expected to come out some time in late 2027 and will follow either Eloise Bridgerton or Francesca Bridgerton. Overall, I would consider this season of Bridgerton to be the most entertaining to watch and follow along with.
