On Wednesday, October 8th, the girls’ varsity soccer team had their senior night. This is a night for the soccer team to honor all the seniors for their hard work over the past four years playing on the C Milton Wright soccer team and these seniors are Victoria Mendez, Sophia Adams, Mackenzi Milich, Sophia Hodges, and Annabelle Lathroum. 

 We honored these seniors by getting all the rest of the team to come together, and decorate posters for each senior, making it funny, and cute by getting ballons to hang up on the field and surprise them on the day of the game. 

The night was emotional for the seniors because it’s a moment where their memories start flooding their minds of all their hard work, tough games, early practices, but also fun team moments. The reality starts to kick in for some of the seniors because they realize their high school soccer journey is coming to an end. They realize they will never be able to wear their school soccer jersey ever again, being able to play on the field they spent the last four years playing on all the time and be able to play with the same team ever again 

 This senior night game was against the North Harford Hawks. Before we started the game with the Hawks, each senior did a walkout with their whole family. They announced where they were going to college and what they were studying, then shared their favorite memory they had throughout their years, and finally the seniors took a picture of their whole family. The final score of the game against the Hawks was 3-1 with Lanie Gunter, Victoria Mendez, and Bella scoring.
