The 2024-2025 wrestling team will go down in history with an unforgettable season filled with individual talent that was allowed for tremendous success. They ended the season with a team record of 12-2, earning the first seed for regionals. As a team they claimed the title of regional champions on their home mat, dominating Hereford 57-17. As the regular team season ended, the individual journey to states was their only focus, and the UCBAC tournament was their first obstacle on the road to victory.
The Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference tournament showcases all the individual talent of wrestlers from around fifteen different schools. UCBAC’s is a two-day tournament that tracks overall team wins determining which school will dominate this conference, but individually those who place top 4 within their weight class advance to individual regionals.
C. Milton Wright absolutely dominated this tournament and are now known as the 2025 UCBAC Champions! To break it down the Mustangs placed 12 out of their 14 wrestlers in the top 6, including 7 finalists and 4 champions of their weight class. The Mustangs won the tournament with a 68-point lead. Special highlights are Head Coach John Thornton winning Coach of the Year, and Junior Cameron Stepp (285lb) winning the Sportsmanship Award.
