Bel Air week, always a week to remember. Our main rival, the Bel Air Bobcats, makes this week very special. Let’s see some of the highlights.
Varsity football beat Bel Air in an intense game that went down to the wire, the final score being 19-14. This game helped start a 3-game winning streak. The energy in the stadium was electrifying. Both teams, as well as the people on the sidelines, were cheering fiercely along with the fans. The game went on to be a close defensive battle. Not the highest scoring game, but it was still a fight to win. Both defensive sides played well, holding each other below 20 points. The C. Milton Wright defense only let up 2 touchdowns the whole game, showing the great defense that they have shown all season.
The baseball team pulled out a win as well, winning 14-13 in a high–scoring game. Boys’ soccer beat Bel Air 4-1 even though C. Milton Wright’s starting goalie was kicked out of the game with a red card. The back-up goalie came in and our C. Milton Wright Mustangs scored 3 unanswered points to take home the win.
This rivalry has been alive and thriving for 40 years now, and it seems to be heating up now more and more. As the games become harder and harder, the rivalry gets stronger and stronger, and the fans get louder and louder.
