Sophia Hodges is a 16-year-old junior at C. Milton Wright. She plays varsity
soccer for CMW, is involved in JCC, and has played club soccer for
Coppermine for 5 years. She decided to take on the journalism class this
year because of her interest in writing, her love for English class, and to get
more involved with the school. She sees herself in physical therapy in the
future, and plans on playing D2 or D3 soccer in college. She would love to
attend Elon University located in North Carolina. Some of her hobbies include
listening to pop and rap music, exercising, and hanging out with friends. With
her friends, she loves to shop, eat, and have sleepovers. Sophia is a busy
young woman, as she balances a 4.2 GPA at school, sports in and out of
school, and a job in the footwear section at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Sophia is
an only child, but she has a house full of pets. She loves playing with her two
dogs, Rocco and Roman, and her two cats Butter and Dixie. Sophia is proud
of her Brazilian heritage as her mom was born there. She especially enjoys
the homemade Brazilian food her mom makes for her. Sophia is thrilled for
the year ahead and cannot wait to take part in providing articles for the
sports and student life departments.
