Homecoming is the best event of the year at C. Milton Wright! The week
leading up to the dance consists of five spirit weekdays, a pep rally, homecoming
court, and a homecoming football game. Students go all out during homecoming
and have tons of fun!
Homecoming is a huge deal, you get to pick your dress, flowers, whether
you want a date, photos and more. Last year, me and my friends went to Annabelle
Lathroum’s house all day. We got there around 10 am and had brunch, made
flower bouquets, and eventually took pictures. Girls buy their dresses months
before the dance. The most popular places to buy dresses are Lucy in the Sky,
Windsor, Beginning Boutique and Lulus. At C. Milton Wright, underclassmen
wear short dresses and upperclassmen wear long dresses.
The Pep Rally, the Friday before the dance, is full of excitement. Every year
we have a half day and around 10 am go down to the turf and have our pep rally.
The pep rally consists of each sports team walking out onto the turf with a banner,
a junior versus senior dance and many more fun contests. Last year, the seniors
took the win in the dance contest. And being in the audience, the performances
were very entertaining. Later that night, we have our football game where the
students pack the stands to the point where there is no space left. And at half time
the 2025 homecoming court is announced.
The 2025 Homecoming court consists of ten girls and ten boys. The 2025
girls homecoming court is Sophia Hodges, Cameryn Loper, Alexa Faber,
Annabelle Lathroum, Annabelle Hoagland, Abby Stott, Sophia Borkowski, Grace
Boseck, Brennan Descantis, and Samanatha Shoemaker.
The boys 2025 Homecoming court is Brody Hitchkad, Matt Sampson, Henry Buyse, Charlie Kitz,
Jaxon Simms, Cam Wheeler, Tyler Kirby, Chris Dietz, Ryan Kilechenstein, and
Mason Crouch.
Overall, Homecoming is a memorable night that I know I will never forget.
Between all the photos, dancing, and just memories made. I am looking forward to
this year’s dance more than ever!
