Vagabond is a local sandwich restaurant that’s only located in Bel Air, Maryland.
I went into the restaurant, on April 17th, 2025, and this was my experience. I went in at one o’clock, ordered and sat down by 1:05. They were pretty busy, but there was still plenty of seats.
I ordered the Nashville Hot Clucker, a small side of fries and a drink, which came out to $26.
The Nashville Hot Clucker, is a fried chicken sandwich, with a siracha sauce and mayo on top, with lettuce and pickles on the bottom, and comes with homemade chips. It came out within fifteen minutes and looked great.
The sandwich was pretty hot, but didn’t have much of the siracha sauce on it. The chicken was pretty crispy and soft on the inside. The pickles added a very nice crunch to the sandwich, and the lettuce balanced out the siracha. The chips were good, some were soggy, but some were crispy at the same time. The fries were great though. They’re the style of board walks fries, which is my favorite. They were fluffy in the middle, but had a good crunch on the outside, and they were perfectly seasoned. I’ve had Vagabond before, and I have had better. The food wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t Vagabonds’ best.
After that, I went over to the Frosted Rooster, which is the sister ice cream shop. I got the ice cream sandwich, with peanut butter cookies and cookie monster flavored ice cream. For $9, it’s really good, but it’s also just two cookies with a lot of ice cream in the middle.
Overall, this wasn’t a terrible trip, but I’ve had better from Vagabond, so this time, they get a 7.
