Helping Up Mission

Service Learning Project 2025

Here at C. Milton Wright, our very own foreign language department, has taken it upon themselves to make the world a better place by “helping up”.  The sole purpose is to allow hope to be restored to those who have endured unimaginable drug addictions and homelessness within Baltimore.

You can be the hero they have been searching for when you provide practical items that add ease to their daily lives. In helping to provide support and raise awareness this initiative will also bring a sense of stability and togetherness to the effected community. The Helping Up Mission gives both men and women who are suffering from either homelessness, addictions, mental illness, or poverty, redemption at their lives to gain control and take back what was once lost.

Help Up Mission wants to bring awareness as their website communicates the following message, “You don’t have to wear a cape to be a hero to hurting neighbors struggling to break free of addiction and homelessness in Greater Baltimore. And it only takes a little to do so much.”

Helping Out Mission provides their very own wishlist for critically needed items that will allow hope to be restored.

The foreign language department has brought this to our attention, along with furthermore insight on what necessities are needed, which can be found in the foreign language department on the third floor within the halls of CMW. But the opportunities to give back to our community are endless and the Help Up Mission allows you to provide support for the future. You can become a Helping Up Hero and give back monthly with the warming satisfaction of playing an essential role in changing someone’s life. The reminder, “it only takes a little to do so much” will allow unity within C. Milton Wright to restore hope within our neighboring community.
