Three-year men’s varsity basketball player, Dylan Sander, has just one more year to go on the team. But with his exceptional record of averaging 17.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, there is no doubt about the talent he has contributed to the team’s memorable season so far. The formidable player, standing at 6’4, has demonstrated his presence on the court this year in games like the Mustangs 63-38 win over Patterson Mill, where he finished with 28 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. Though the team spends daily practices preparing for their opponents, Sander takes matters into his owns hands with pre-game rituals such as listening to Six and Nasg Chaz before stepping out for the tip off. Just as most athletes do, Dylan eagerly anticipates the high stakes competition and pressure that the team experiences every week. But with the season’s end approaching, he hopes to finish on a better note than last year’s unfortunate loss against Edgewood.
