Mrs. Gurrera is a Spanish teacher at CMW who teaches Spanish I and II. Mrs. Gurrera used to be an assistant tutor at UMBC and has taught in elementary and middle schools. She has a master’s degree in education and adult literature. This is Mrs. Gurrera’s first year teaching high school, and she is loving it so far. Mrs. Gurrera brings her love of Spanish to us as she lived and studied abroad in Spain, and she hopes to share some of her passion with high school students. She says learning a language is an important skill. Mrs. Gurrera also has a passion for art and painting. When she was asked, “if you didn’t have a budget, what is one thing you would have in your classroom?” she responded with “more art.”
