Meet Mercedes Blakeley, a junior at C. Milton Wright. She was a member of creative writing
during her sophomore year and decided to switch to journalism this year. Her work was
featured in the Literary Magazine during her time in creative writing. Mercedes is a very
welcoming individual and always has a smile on her face. She enjoys listening to rap and
pop music, and also quite likes horror movies. She’s a gig time listener of J. Cole and Fetty Wap.
She has a big passion for women’s rights and gaining equal respect, as she has always
looked up to independent women.
