Kat Duracka is a 15-year-old sophomore here at C. Milton Wright Highschool who is
known for her kind heart, positive spirit, and ability to brighten any room with laughter. Kat
is both empathetic and outgoing, making her someone who can easily connect with those
around her. Outside of the classroom, Kat has a wide range of passions. She is a
dedicated member of the Varsity girls’ soccer team, where her love for the sport shows not
only in her athletic skills but also in her teamwork on and off the field. Beyond sports, she
enjoys reading and writing which allow her to explore new ideas and express creativity. Kat
is especially excited about covering current events, opinion pieces and sports stories, since
they give her a chance to share her voice and perspective with the community.
In addition to her extracurricular interests, Kat is an active member in the FCA where
she finds meaning through faith. Looking ahead, she hopes to attend Georgetown
University to study Political Science. This is her first year in journalism and working on The
Pony Express.
