Are You Okay?

Are You Okay?

For those of you who have been feeling neglected by your comfort shows waiting for a new season to return, searching for a sliver of that feeling you got once a week when a new episode came out, are you okay? If the answer is yes, then please leave we don’t need your judgement, but for those who shamefully are not in fact “okay”, we have the remedy for you. Here are 4 shows to move your wait along.

#1 White Lotus

Congratulations! You are one of the 15 people who aren’t tuning in for incest, murder, gossip, and wealth every Sunday at 9. Now on season three, White Lotus first premiered its first season in the summer of 2021, taking place in the tropical resort location in Hawaii. Each season begins with an unknown death before flashing back to a week prior when a specific group of wealthy guests arrive to the resort (in a new location each season). The season follows along with the guests showing you a deep personal dive into their financial, marital, and physiological troubles before reveling the death in the final episode of each season. With only two episodes left you’ll have a cool 3 seasons to binge with no questions left unanswered.

#2 Yellow Jackets

A show that will “eat your heart out.” The Paramount+ series has grabbed the attention of certain unwell viewers who have fallen in love with the teenage soccer team who just can’t get enough of each other (literally). The series, in the midst of its third season, has guided viewers along the dark, gory, confusingly cannibalistic path of a girl’s high school soccer team who became stranded in the 90’s after a plane crash. The fictional plot bounces back and forth between their haunting time in the “wilderness” and the remaining girls lives in the present day as their past eats away at them.

#3 The Last of Us

Game turned show, a category very few have asked for, but surprisingly many have come to enjoy. The visual gift of Pedro Pascal isn’t the only thing that will have you refreshing your HBO max come April. “The Last of Us” season two has become highly anticipated after the shows finale in 2023 leaving the handful of viewers who have not had experience with its digital game past in a consuming wonder and fear of what was to come for unlikely duo, Joel and Ellie as they fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic society.

#4 The Summer I Turned Pretty

Just a few short (hopefully) warm months away is the light at the end of the tunnel, at least for those who are rooting for character Conrad Fisher in the hit series “The Summer I turned Pretty”. With its third and final season slowly approaching fans are gearing up to welcome back a summer of love triangles and tan lines. The book inspired show has taken us through the trials and tribulations of teen Belly as she navigates her relationships with the Fisher brothers.

For readers who have made it this far just remember it’s not alarming that you’re mourning the temporary loss of your favorite show, a little weird maybe, but nothing your friends and coworkers aren’t doing in the privacy of their home too. So next time you find yourself doomscrolling through fan theories or Tik Tok edits, we have a list with a little something for all genders, ages, preferences, and mental wellness. We hope you find something to pass the time and fill the hole in your TV loving heart.
