Grabbing the attention of Pop Culture is one of the hardest things to do as a rising artist, however pop singer Tate McRae has made it look so simple.
This past February Tate released her third studio album “So Close to What” and her catchy and upbeat songs are taking over playlists everywhere. Consisting of three singles, twelve regular tracks, and a bonus track, the album is really fun to listen to and sing along with.
I talked to an avid Tate fan, Sophia Hodges, and she said she is always playing it in her car and in her air pods. She actually has tickets to Tate’s tour this summer, that just began on March 18th, and she said that, “this album is very different compared to her other albums, it seems like more of an “alter ego” of hers and shows that she is talented enough to do different styles of music.”
This album is great for a workout playlist, a mood lift, and summer drives with the windows down.
Here is the track list with some highlights from the songs:
1. Miss Possessive
Super upbeat and fun, and relatable for a lot of listeners
2. Hands (single)

This song is much slower and heartfelt than the others on the album and shows more of her emotion in her singing.
