Snow White LA Pre-view

Snow White LA Pre-view

Oh boy, let’s talk about the new Live Action Snow White trailer.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Disney and with being a fan comes a lot of opinions about the live action make of old classic movies.

Every time Disney remakes one of its classic stunning animated movies into a not so stunning “live action” version a part of me cries on the inside. Believe me, I do love some live actions, for example 2019’s Aladdin, 2017’s Beauty and The Beast, and even 2023 Little Mermaid. But usually most are worse than the original and after watching the trailer of the Live Action Snow White we might be getting another underwhelming remake.

This new Snow-White stars Rachel Zegler who you might have seen in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.  She has the vocals to be a Disney princess but deserves a much better dress than she has in the trailer, it looks like the cheap snow-white dress I wore when I was 4. On top of the dress there is that very unfortunate bob, sadly we all can’t pull off a bob like the original Snow White

And the uncanny valley horror of the 7 dwarves. Don’t even get me started.

There is one thing about the trailer that caught my attention. It was all the cute animals that she met, my favorite one was the turtle or the tortoise, same thing.

I am trying my hardest not to judge a movie by its trailer, but maybe I am wrong, and it will turn out to be one of the best Live Action remakes… just kidding nothing will beat the 2019 Aladdin.

Aladdin aside, the original Snow White was groundbreaking. It was the first full length theatrical animated feature, something that hadn’t been done before. I just hope that the remake of it isn’t a disappointment.

If you want to check it out Snow White hits theaters on March 21st 2025.
