The series has risen back in popularity with the release of its second season on December 26th, 2024. Following its initial release in 2021, the show has become a worldwide sensation but was made and based in South Korea by television producer Hwang Dong-Hyuk.
This survival thriller stands out with its Korean children’s games turned evil. As death has become the new punishment. The series features games such as red-light green light, tug of war, mingle, dalgona, and glass bridge. The series has taken media over by storm, with people dressing in the iconic green tracksuits worn by the players and people making their own dalgona cookies to cut out. Excitement is already building around the third season, set to come out in 2025. With the second season’s cliffhanger, there are a number of theories speculated about how the series will be moving forward.
