New Year's Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions

As the new year approaches, many of us take the time to reflect on the past year and set new goals for the upcoming year. A new year resolution is an ongoing tradition that many people utilize to accomplish future goals and improve their lifestyles. Some C. Milton Wright students take the time to share their new year resolutions in hopes of having a successful new year.

Annabell Hoagland: “My new year resolution is to acquire a better sleep schedule.”

Cameryn Loper: “To keep my room clean at all times.”

Annabelle Lathroum: “To receive straight A’s.”

Sophia Hodges: “To commit to a college by the end of next year.”

Kylie Bricker: “To be more appreciative.”

Evan Skinner: “To get better grades.”

Mackenzi Milich: “Continuously go to the gym and keep my room clean.”

Breezy Quattrocche: “To go to church more.”

Braxton Marchand: “To quit bad habits.”

Jason Reilly: “Win another state championship.”

Sophie Murie: “To improve in sports.”

While most students have a new year’s resolution, the main question is how long they can maintain it. Statistics say that around 80% of individuals abandon their goals within a few weeks, often by mid-February only about 8% manage to stick to their resolutions for the entire year. Students provided a variety of new year’s resolutions, but the most popular ones are achieving better grades as well as keeping their room clean.

In conclusion, having a New Years resolution is an impactful way to reach achievements and challenges, while also looking forward to new goals. It gives you an opportunity to make positive changes in your life. By committing to our New Years resolutions with determination and a positive outlook, we can make the upcoming year our best one yet!
