With a lot of headlines taking over the news during the month of November many tend to forget the ones of the previous months, but very few have forgotten the ongoing case for former music artist P Diddy (Sean Combs) and the many trafficking allegations facing him.
On March 25th agents with homeland security raided Combs properties in Miami and Los Angeles and found firearms at the two houses. This would only be the start for the downfall of the rapper, in May video would surface of Combs assaulting Cassie in a hotel which she had formerly accused him of. After the surfacing of the video evidence, Combs would take a full 180 on his stance of the accusations apologizing online to the people he hurt, a stark contrast between the defensive position he took in the earlier parts of the accusations.
Things would continue to trend down for Combs as in September of this year, another woman would come out against Combs and accuse him of sexual assault and threatening her life if she dared to tell anyone about it. All of this happened while Combs was dating Cassie (his former girlfriend). Combs and his lawyer would deny these allegations and the case is still going on in federal court in Manhattan.
One of the final nails of the coffin was laid after Combs was arrested on September 16th of this year, this would come shortly after the accusations of assault from Dawn Richard, Combs is currently being held in Manhattan and is holding all his cases in that area, at this point Combs was held in jail until the courts could get all of his cases and start a trial process.
As we stand currently, Combs is facing all kinds of charges, including trafficking, conspiracy, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and the obstruction of justice. If all the charges are confirmed, Combs could very well be looking at life if not a lot of time in prison.
What makes this case so interesting is that before these events P Diddy was a well-known rapper with a legacy in pop and rap music. But in the span of a few months not only will Diddy spend a lot of time in prison, but his former legacy will be completely forgotten.
