The first half of Outer Banks season four is now streaming on Netflix, and I must admit, I’m quite surprised by how entertaining the new season is shaping up to be.
It was a wild first five episodes of the season. I think there was enough action to tide me over until the second half gets released. But it would’ve been nice to binge the entire season in one sitting. Though I have to admit it makes sense for Netflix to do it this way. Cameryn Loper says that “I am sad that OBX is released in two parts because it is too suspenseful.” Personally, I think that it is smart to release it in 2 parts because it leaves people wondering what will happen next and will most likely watch the second part.
I love JJ. I’m totally here for JJ. Especially when he and Kiara are together. But I’m not here for his impulsive decisions. And while I knew the Pogue’s were going to have to lose their money one way or another, I was hoping it wasn’t going to be because of JJ.
Another character that I love is Rafe Cameron, not only is he attractive but in my opinion, he is one of the characters that has the best character development. In season 4 you can tell he is trying his hardest to build back relationships that he ruined and better himself. In part 2 of season 4 I would love to see him on the Pouge’s side.
The most unforgettable moment was in the last episode when JJ sees his dad and asks him about the letter that was given to him by Wes Genrette, he asks his why he has received the letter, and his “dad” later reveals that JJ was born to Larissa Genrette and Chandler Groff. We were told that Larissa drowned with her baby, but there have been some theories that JJ Maybank was that baby, or should I say JJ Genrette.
Sadly, we have to wait until November 7th to find out what happens next, but I will be eagerly waiting until then!
