This summer some new music has hit the charts! Let’s check some of them out. 

Sabrina Carpenter, she has just released her 6th studio album Short n’ Sweet, on August 23rd 2024. Short n’ Sweet debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It was a defining moment and the start of rise to fame for Sabrina. She started off the album with her two singles “Espresso” released April 11th, 2024, and “Please, Please, please” released on June 6th 2024, “Espresso” peaked at number three on the billboard hot 100 marking Carpenter’s first top ten single and her highest-peak on the chart at the time. On top of “Espresso” getting so high on the billboard charts, “Please, Please, please” hit number one on the billboard hot 100. Because of her new hit album, she has announced that she is touring starting on October 5th, 2024, in Baltimore MD just quick drive away from us! If you have ever listened to Sabrina’s music, then you know it is very pop and upbeat for most of the album but… if upbeat pop isn’t your thing, then there is a new indie-pop artist for you! 

 Gracie Abrams is an indie-pop artist that has just skyrocketed in listeners on her new album The Secret of Us that has been labeled as a pop, indie, and folk album. She released the album on June 21st, 2024, two of her hit singles come from that album, “Risk” and “Close to You” that made it into the top 50 in the billboard’s hot 100. Along with her top hits on her album she worked alongside of Taylor Swift for the song “Us” featuring Taylor Swift.  She has started her tour and will be close to us on October 8th in Philadelphia, PA at the Met stadium. She has some experience touring because this past year she has been touring with Taylor Swift at the Era’s tour, so she is a professional at preforming in front of big crowds, so it will be an amazing performance. 

Both artists are great choices of new music, and we are excited to see what they do in their upcoming careers!
