CMW Homecoming Review

Glow in the Dark
CMW Homecoming Review

This year on October 14th was C Milton Wright Highschool’s 2025 homecoming dance.   The theme of this dance was “Glow Night.” At the entrance of the cafeteria, students were greeted by Mr. Siemsen, Mr. Faber, and other teachers that checked the students’ tickets. There were glow sunglasses and glow sticks for anyone who purchased them while buying their ticket. In the back of the gym, they served delicious snacks and refreshments, such as water, Gatorade, chips, Cheez itz crackers, and other tasty snacks.

When first entering the main gym, students were greeted by a decorated gym with purple and light blue lights all around. Photo backdrops covered the walls. There was a DJ set up in the front part of the gym. Tons of students filled the whole gym in beautiful dresses and sharp suits. The freshmen and the sophomores wore short dresses, while juniors and seniors wore long dresses. The DJ played music almost everyone knew too, so everyone was having a good time laughing and dancing to all their favorite songs.

Grace Boseck and Matt Sampson ended up winning homecoming queen and king that night by popular votes from students and teachers. Grace wore a beautiful silk lavender dress with a ruffled slit while her date Matt wore a white button down with a lavender tie to match. Everyone looked beautiful in their dresses, but some that really stood out to me were Krystal Hoangs, Olivia Fox, and Camila Kell. Their dresses stood out the most to me because of their uniqueness. For example, Krystal’s dress was all white with ruffles and tied in the back. Her look was complete with silver accessories. What made her pictures really come together was where she took them. From what it looked like in her pictures there was a flower garden with a pathway that makes it look straight out of a fairytale. Another beautiful standout of the evening was Olivia’s dress; she had a tannish creme colored silk dress with designs embroidered on the corset part of her dress. Her hair was pinned up in front, while the back was down. Her whole look was gorgeous, and her dress was unique with pretty designs. And lastly, Camila wore a long sparkly silver dress. Not only did I find this dress very beautiful, but I didn’t see too many people with a sparkly dress like this with this kind of cut-out. Camila had a body con dress with a scoop neckline to tie it all together.

To conclude this review, the homecoming of 2025 was very successful. I strongly believe everyone who went had lots of fun!
