As the weather gets nicer, people enjoy spending more time outside. One activity people can engage in while relishing the beautiful weather is taking hikes on one of Harford County’s 89 trails. The trails are located all over the county including waterfront, wooded, or scenic paths.
One of the most popular trail locations in Harford County includes Susquehanna State Park. At the park, you can enjoy the beauty of nature while spending time walking, running, biking, or picnicking on one of their 15 trails. The park is located at 4118 Wilkinson Rd in Havre De Grace, Maryland. The Susquehanna State Park consists of riverside views, covered forests, and rocky terrain.
The Susquehanna State Park has several histrionic buildings and trails that are surrounded by a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River. The Maryland Department of Forests and Parks began acquiring land for Susquehanna State Park in the early 1960s, and since then, the park has grown to 2,753 acres. Not only does the park have waterfront paths, but many trails take you through the beautiful woods.
The Deer Creek Trail is a popular location to hike at the park. The scenic trail is blazed with bright green colors. The trail is a “beginner” path that is approximately 2.3 miles long and is easily accessible for all ages. Susquehanna State Park is not only a fantastic location for hikers but also for children. The park includes a playground and picnic area for children to have the opportunity to have fun while taking in nature purities.
If you need an outdoor activity, go, and visit the beautiful Susquehanna State Park. The park is a perfect location to take an adventure with a family or friend!
