Getting to Know the C. Milton Wright Swim Team

On December 7th, the C. Milton Wright High School swim team will have their first meet of the season against North Harford High School. Notable meets this year are against Bel Air High School on January 11th and Patterson Mill High School on January 19th. The team led by captains Kaylee Blair, Rachel Balcer, Todd Orzech, and Liam Van Syckle, have high hopes for this season.

Senior Kaylee Blair who swims the 100m freestyle and the 200m freestyle states, “this year I hope to win the county championship, get first team all-county, and get on the podium at states.” Senior Rachel Balcer who swims the 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, and 100m fly added, “I feel really good about this season. We have an amazing team with awesome coaches. We come into practice every day ready to work hard and charge through the set. The ultimate goal by the end of the season is to win counties. If we come into practice with a positive attitude and give it our 110% at meets, I think we can reach that goal.”

The C. Milton Wright swim team looks forward to this season and along with achieving new personal best times, the swimmers look to come together as a team and win counties!
