The Varsity Golf team at C. Milton Wright High School has a tough season ahead of them, with county competition such as Harford Tech, Patterson Mill, North Harford, and Bel Air. Coached by Mrs. Sostak, the team has built a name for themselves throughout the league with strong showings in their previous seasons. Prior to the 2019 season, the golf team won the Harford County title in 2017, at Geneva Farms Golf Club. As their reputation builds, the team is being held at a high expectation.

However, with only one returning senior, Michael Cummings (MJ), the team is heavily relying on the underclassmen to carry the weight of the group. As the season is well underway, the team suffered their first loss against the Bel Air Bobcats and the North Harford Hawks at Geneva Farms.

As the team continues to practice at Maryland Golf & Country Club, they’re limited on course time due to Maryland Golf & Country Club being a favorite for all golfers across the state. With many courses, and places to travel, the golf team cannot get used to one specific course, as other courses are a part of their schedule, but are optimistic for their season to come.
