Chris Wagner, Senior Defensive End for the Varsity Football team is looking forward to another football season as a proud mustang.

His goals for the year are to get to States and be able to make a significant difference.

He returns this season as a Captain and believes that being a Captain holds many responsibilities. He says there is a standard to hold the team to and to keep them motivated.

An important thing for him is keeping the team “together as a family”.  He believes that despite having several starters that are injured, the family concept is exactly what brought them to the 7-0 victory against Bo Manor at their first home game on Thursday, September 13.

Chris also explained that having the student body behind the team is a very big motivation to pull through with the win. This season he feels as though the Mustangs are looked at as underdogs due to their record in the past seasons.  However, he adds that this year they have a very good chance to do better than expected.
