At least one tree was toppled during Friday’s windstorm prior to schools being dismissed one hour early.

While eating during the second lunch period, many students witnessed the falling of a large tree outside the cafeteria windows.  Shortly afterwards, the announcement to leave school early was made.  With the possibility of further trees crashing to the ground, students were directed to avoid the pathway leading to the upper lot at dismissal.

Monday morning, students were still forbidden to use the walkway between the trees leading to the upper lot.  It’s unclear at this point how long this will be the rule of the school.
